It’s time for another edition of our employee spotlight! Today you’ll meet Peter Petrou, Director, Web Services, who is based out of our New York office.
Q: What is your biggest accomplishment at Wpromote?
A: Launching the Silicon Valley Bank website. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into the project and the end-result was something we were all proud of.
Q: Who is your favorite coworker and why?
A: If I say Scott, it covers three of them in Melville, but honestly everyone at Wpromote has been wonderful to work with.
Q: What’s your favorite book?
A: White Teeth by Zadie Smith. I promise you won’t regret reading it. The author is incredibly talented.
Q: What’s your perfect Sunday-Funday?
A: An early round of golf, followed by brunch with my daughters and a Dolphins win in the afternoon.
Q: Whose social profiles do you stalk and why?
A: Vincente Fox—for amusement.
Q: What would be your theme song and why?
A: I’m an Englishman in New York, so “Englishman in New York” by Sting.
Q: What is your favorite spectator sport?
A: Soccer. Go Arsenal!
Q: Have you ever had a celebrity encounter?
A: I once shared an elevator with Susan Sarandon. Embarrassingly I blurted out “I love you” instead of “I love your movies.” The doors couldn’t open fast enough….
Q: What is your guilty pleasure?
A: Chunky Monkey ice cream and binge-watching Game of Thrones, preferably at the same time.
Q: What was your best vacation?
A: Taking my daughters to visit London. It was so much fun to see my home town through their eyes.
