Meet The Employee: Marissa Allen

Welcome to the ninth installment of our employee spotlight! We’d like to take a minute and introduce you to Marissa Allen, Director of Strategy here at Wpromote.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Wpromote?
A: Reigning female ping pong champ, all the way since 2008. I may have been one of only a very few Wpro ladies but regardless, my face was put on the winning paddle board. #pingponglegend

What is your biggest challenge at Wpromote?
A: Finding free time in my day to…come up with new acronyms (or initialisms as Block likes to point out), write TOY emails, telling people I LCA them, and motivate people to GIG.

Who is your favorite co-worker and why?
A: Dana Gonzales, she’s the HBIC.

Whose social profiles do you stalk and why?
A: Kardashians, no judgement please.

What is your favorite work perk?
A: Fine Wine Friday. Co-founded back in 2009. When 4pm on Fridays rolls around, it’s just necessary.

When were you hired? What was your starting position?
A: Jan 2008, PPC Account Manager.

What is your spirit animal and why?
A: Beyonce, for obvious reasons, but mainly because she’s the boss. As my mug reminds me, I have the same amount of hours in a day as Beyonce

What is your go-to LA activity? 
A: Dodgers game with a pre-game visit to Philippe’s – MUST be double dipped!

What is your perfect Sunday-Funday?
A: Brunch and football. Maybe a bottle of rosé added in for good measure.
