Wpromote Wellness Week 2019 Recap

Lauren Driscoll Lauren Driscoll

Wpromote is a results-driven company, and our teams know all about goal setting and working towards improving performance for both our employees and clients. But aside from professional development, Wpromote places importance on employee well being. As the co-chair of the Wpro Wellness Committee, I am particularly proud of the initiatives we’ve been able to put in place over the last year, and those to come.

The definition of wellness is “the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.” Wellness is not just physical health, it also includes social and mental health. We believe Wpromote’s wellness programs are important to the health and happiness of our employees and are critical to a positive work environment and our business’ success.

Studies show that 1 in 3 employees in the US is stressed. Research also shows a healthier workforce can result in higher quality work, improved morale and productivity, reduced absenteeism, and lower healthcare and workers’ compensation costs. So, why wouldn’t we invest in wellness?!

At Wpromote, we pride ourselves on the fact that we offer extensive healthcare benefits, beyond the incredible insurance programs our employees can choose. We have weekly in-office meditation and yoga classes, partnerships with local fitness studios in each city, and healthy food and beverage choices in the kitchen. Our flexible work schedules allow for individuals to work remotely as needed and we have unlimited PTO (#goals).

Our 2nd annual Wellness Week took place on November 12th-15th at all of our Wpromote locations. Every day, there was a different activity and incentive for employees to take time for themselves. From Open Enrollment presentations from our POPS team to an Ergonomics Lunch & Learn to mid-day chair massages to even a paint-and-meditate class, there was something for everyone to get a little TLC. Check out photos from the week of wellness below.
